Moor Farm | Holiday Lets
Moor Farm near Godshill on the Isle of Wight has four sensitively and beautifully restored barns converted into holiday lets. The Farmhouse itself is also connected to the new Bio-Bubble WWTP which is sized to take loads from the five buildings as well as being future proofed to take waste for additional campers that may visit the farm in the coming years. Located between Cowes and Sandown, the Red Squirrel footpath/cycle trail passes through the courtyard of Moor Farm making this the perfect place to explore a variety of local wildlife habitats from woodlands to wetlands.
It was important to the owners that the environmental impact of additional treated foul waste being released into the water course had no detrimental effect whatsoever; indeed the final treated effluent is used to keep the adjacent Farmyard Pond topped up seasonally when less surface water is available to do the job. The Bio-Bubble process delivers a final effluent that is low in nutrients and therefore is often discharged into ponds and lakes.
Graham Attrill Civil engineering undertook the civil installation of the Bio-Bubble as they have done with many of our Isle of Wight Projects without issues and our installation and commissioning team followed behind them setting the system to work. The system was also connected remotely to us via a broadband link enabling us to provide support and monitoring remotely in between service and maintenance visits.
